Are you thinking about purchasing a new cell phone this year? If you are you might be pleased to know that Wirefly announces the Top 10 cell phones of 2006. Their listings are based on the amount of each brand or style of cell phone that was purchased in 2006.
As you might expect, the cell phone that tops the list is one we’ve heard the most about in the last year, and that’s been heavily advertised on television commercials. That’s right, it’s the Cingular Wireless RAZR made by Motorola. This popular phone comes in a variety of colors.
We were actually given a free telephone this past June as part of a marketing buzz promotion, and I’m surprised that it didn’t make the list nor did any of the other models made by Nokia. I’m a bit surprised by that. The phone that we were given is a Nokia Smart media phone 6682 (I think that’s the model number).
If we hadn’t been given a phone this past year we likely would have purchased one. Our old phone was a Motorola and we both really liked the way Motorola makes their phones. Even our home telephones are Motorola! So I wouldn’t have been surprised if we hadn’t joined the masses and purchased a RAZR as well.
Other phones that made the top 10 list include the T-Mobile RAZR (in various colors), Verizon Wireless RAZR (in various colors), Cingular Sony Ericsson z520a/z525a video phones, T-Mobile Motorola v360, Verizon Wireless Motorola v276, Sprint Nextel Motorola i850, Sprint Nextel Motorola i710, Cingular Motorola v220, and T-Mobile Samsung T309. You can read more about how Wirefly decided on the top ten and features of the phone at their site and the link that I listed above.
