The call is called Bugling and male Elks make this sound to attract females during mating season. <\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<div style=\u00e2\u20ac\u009ddisplay:block;float:left;padding:5px;\u00e2\u20ac\u009d><!--adsense--><\/div>\n<p>I guess it&#8217;s not surprising that some people might mistake this odd sound as that of humans in distress.
