A pretty little flower – Malva sylvestra zebrina is part of the mallow family, although this one is a hybrid. it grows in my garden beneath my William Baffin rose. It happily reseeds itself each year so I never have to worry that I might lose this beautiful plant.

View from the Shore
Water, grasses and reeds … three of my favorite things. I don’t know why but I just love being near bodies of water. I’m not that fond of being on large bodies of water … but being beside them, oh yeah. Scenes like this always make me feel calm, whole, peaceful. Perhaps it’s because I grew up both a city girl and a country girl thanks to our family having a cottage that we visited nearly every weekend …
Gorgeous Gladiola
I loved the look and color of this Gladiola bloom … I could resist getting close and taking a macro shot of it with my camera.  Isn’t it pretty?
