I love this photo of a small common bird on our clothes line in the backyard. It looks like it was busy ruffling it’s feathers, perhaps cleaning itself as it sat on the wire enjoing the lovely fall day.

New York Aster
A Bumble bee paying a visit to the New York Asters
I certainly enjoy my New York Asters when they bloom each Fall, but it looks like the Bumble Bees do as well! I often see them traveling to the flowers and then going off somewhere with their back legs covered in pollen. Such interesting creatures.
I’m actually extremely allergic to bees, but I don’t have a problem with the bumble bees in my garden. We coexist peacefully and as I said I enjoy watching them collecting pollen from my large variety of flowers within my garden.
