A black flower?

Yes, this is a Black Hollyhock.

Isn’t it’s dark glossy petals beautiful?

I grow this dark horse of a hollyhock between my lovely Compte de Chambord antique roses, Japanese Maple and the raspberries so it’s surrounded by shades of red and pink. It looks quite lovely among it’s companions.
