Rose Parade

It’s a virtual rose parade on my property … at least at this time of year. How fitting that I actually have a climbing rose called Parade!

Depending upon how warm it is each year, my many roses (over 60 plants!) begin to bloom anywhere from early to mid-June and the virtual rose parade goes on until early to mid July. Then, roses that are continuous bloomers (many of mine) sporadically put out roses until November or so each year.

Of course there’s nothing quite like the first flush of roses each season. Those blooms are the most abundant and most vibrant in color and scent. At least I think they are.

Do you grow roses?
