Pretty much ever since we moved into our house we’ve had a Canadian flag displayed outside. Very few of our neighbors display the flag nor for that matter do many Canadians across the country … why I don’t know. I think our flag is beautiful and I love to watch it wave in the wind at the corner of our house.

This is a picture of part of my street at sunset. I love how the sun is making the buildings, the road and even the person walking along the street glow in it’s orange fiery glow.
Of course, this picture doesn’t reflect on my neighborhood well … since it’s a photo with an apartment building and a bus I think it looks more like an industrial neighborhood, but it’s actually a quite nice residential neighborhood in a vibrant part of Toronto.
Lightly scented pale pink peony. Blooms are very large and they slowly turn pure white as the blooms age. The dark green foliage is also quite nice throughout the non-blooming summer season.
This peony has a lovely scent. I occasionally bring a bloom or two indoors and the scent fills the whole house!
William Baffin Explorer rose- this is a giant of a rose. Grows to small tree size, quickly. Lovely flowers. It’s flowers range from a bright pink like the one above in late spring to early summer and then a pale delicate pink later in the year as the hardy rose reblooms throughout the season.
