Swans in cold water

I’m a little early on this photo. We don’t have any snow yet.

This photo was taken in Toronto, near the Beaches area, a few years ago in January. I’ll bet that some of you are surprised that we have swans here and that they stay year round!

Valencia Rose

Valencia is such a pretty rose. It’s a Hybrid tea and it’s blooms are a pale creamy yellow. Oh and this rose has a lovely scent. I grow this rose right at the end of my driveway near the entrance to my backyard garden. It’s beside my rose Breath of Life which is a pale peach in color so the two flowers compliment each other.

Star Gazer Lily

This is a Hybrid lily called Star Gazer. Doesn’t it have lovely colors? I grow a number of different types of lilies in my garden, but this is one of my favorites – maybe because of it’s color.

Toronto Streets

I took this photo while we were driving in the car … perhaps that’s why there’s a darker tint to the picture as our car windows are lightly tinted. Anyway … this is a typical view of East End Toronto … I think this was Gerrard Street.
