New York Aster

A Bumble bee paying a visit to the New York Asters

I certainly enjoy my New York Asters when they bloom each Fall, but it looks like the Bumble Bees do as well! I often see them traveling to the flowers and then going off somewhere with their back legs covered in pollen. Such interesting creatures.

I’m actually extremely allergic to bees, but I don’t have a problem with the bumble bees in my garden. We coexist peacefully and as I said I enjoy watching them collecting pollen from my large variety of flowers within my garden.

More ducks! These ducks didn’t seem to mind stopping for a moment as I took their picture. I love their colorful feathers and beaks. Now if only the ducks and geese in the area didn’t leave such a mess behind – that would be great.

Bird on a Wire

A tiny bird, sitting on a wire. I took this photo while in my backyard. We have lots of these small birds and they love to come visit our garden to eat bugs off the plants and feed at the bird feeders we’ve placed outside for them.
