These are pretty little flowers that bloom in late spring and or early summer depending upon temperatures and other conditions. I used to call wild Aquilegia honeysuckle when I was a kid … but they aren’t honeysuckle … nope, they’re columbine.
Muscari and Hosta
Isn’t this a lovely combination – the purple Muscari flowers beside the light green hosta leaves. lovely. I look forward to seeing these plants come up side by side each year in the spring.
Mauve fringed tulip
Fringed tulips are my favorite tulips and this lovely purple fringed tulips is one of the best. The flowers last quite a while, well provided that the spring doesn’t get too warm. I love these tulips!
Pecher Peony
Lightly scented pale pink peony. Blooms are very large and they slowly turn pure white as the blooms age. The dark green foliage is also quite nice throughout the non-blooming summer season.
This peony has a lovely scent. I occasionally bring a bloom or two indoors and the scent fills the whole house!
