This photo was taken as we drove on Highway 401, heading back to Toronto. You can see our car mirror on the right, and our actual car in this vehicles hub cab. I love old cars. I think I used my Cybershot camera to get this picture.
Sunflower at Sunset
I grow sunflowers and other lovely flowers (cosmos, peonies, irises, daylilies etc) in the boulevard in front of my house. The sunflowers seem to come up on their own now each year and I think they are the highlight of this small garden. We often have people stop and admire the flowers as they walk by the boulevard each day.
Napoleon the Iguana
This is a photo of my lovely Iguana, Napoleon. He passed away in 2005 and I miss him as he was a great pet. Almost like a cat – friendly but aloof and oh he was smart! So very smart.
Napoleon was also quite large. He was over 7 feet in length … mostly tail though!
Hollyhocks
These lovely yellow Hollyhocks give my garden a kind of old fashioned look … but just in some areas of the garden. I love these full double flowering hollyhocks. I have others, black Hollyhocks, that are single flowering and they only have about five petals, whereas these must have twenty or more petals per flower.
I just wish that these lovely old fashioned Hollyhocks had a scent!
