When I saw this tree in the forest while taking our dog for a walk I thought it was interesting. I love how it’s branches twist around the trunk. The branches doen’t all go in the same direction so it can’t be caused by wind or other forces of natures. It’s just odd, but kind of interesting at the same time.
Midnight in the Forest
Midnight, our dog, I mean …. not night time and darkness!
I took this photo in November after Midnight had a romp through the woods and a dip in a pond. She just loves water. I’m sure if we managed to find open water in the winter she’d try to take a swim even if it was freezing!
Happy New Year! May 2009 bring you happiness, health and if not wealth at least financial stability.
Forest path in autumn
I took this picture in November. The area looks quite different now as we’ve had a lot of snow since then (mostly this week!). However, the picture looks so peaceful, and the autumn colors are so lovely, that I decided that it was time to post it.
The holidays are a hectic time for most of us. This picture reminds me to slow down and enjoy the scenery and the moment.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Pine Branch
I should have a picture of a snow covered pine branch up today since we’ve had so much snow here in Toronto in the last few days! Still … I think the sight of pine probably makes most people think of winter and the holiday season so it’s fitting.
I hope that you are having a less snow filled day than I am!
