These are sedum buds. This plant normally flowers near the end of August or early September and makes a colorful fall bloom.
Even when the bloom fade it’s dead flowers on their dried stalks are quite pretty to leave in place through the winter.
Garden Mums
Garden Mums – grown in an urn on my front porch, Autumn 2006 I just can’t get enough of these gorgous garden Mums. Such pretty multilayered flowers.
A glimpse of Autumn
Driving on the highway between Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario Don’t you love the fall colors. Those red shrubs are Sumac. There’s quite a few of them along the highways in Southern Ontario.
