You know summer is here when the clematis and roses begin to bloom and oh what lovely blooms they are!
The photo above is of one of my favorite Clematis flowers. It’s a hybrid Seiboldiana Clematis and it produces large blue flowers several times each year. Absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it?
I couldn’t resist posting just one more photo of my favorite iris. Of course these flowers are long gone … they bloomed in the second week of April in my Toronto garden and were gone only a few days later … but this picture and other photos I took of them will make them last forever.
What’s your favorite spring flower?
Clumps of Glories of the snow dot my small backyard garden. I have white ones, blue ones and even pink! I do think the blue Glories of the snow are my favorite. The color of the flower looks so nice against the dark green of the plants leaves.
It’s snowy and cold outside right now, but indoors I have a garden of sorts in my kitchen.
The orchids, amaryllis and hibiscus have all been taking turns blooming away and it’s been lovely. It’s so nice to have flowers indoors in the winter – especially when they aren’t cut flowers in a vase!
