This is supposed to be an Angelique Tulip but after four years or so I believer it’s beginning to revert as it’s not as full as it used to be. Normally there’s two or three times more petals. It’s pretty though isn’t it?

For every spike on a Grape Hyacinth (Muscari) there are probably 50+ tiny flowers. This photo is a macro view of just a few of these tiny flowers.
I love how the petals of this purple hyacinth actually appear blue with shades from mauve to pink in this photograph.
The scent of hyacinth’s is intoxicating and wafts through my house when the windows and doors are open. It’s lovely.

Sorry that I haven’t posted a new photo for a while. I’ve been busy with my other sites and it’s easy to keep setting this one aside when I’m busy with the others.
