This lovely Clematis grows at the front of my house. It blooms prolifically in the early summer and again near the end of summer. I love it’s large purple flowers and even the seed heads that develop once the clematis fades.
Sunflower at Sunset
I grow sunflowers and other lovely flowers (cosmos, peonies, irises, daylilies etc) in the boulevard in front of my house. The sunflowers seem to come up on their own now each year and I think they are the highlight of this small garden. We often have people stop and admire the flowers as they walk by the boulevard each day.
Crocosmia Lucifer
This is a gorgeous plant that I grow in my small city garden. It’s called Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’. It’s a vibrant red with orange and flame yellow undertones. I find red flowers the hardest to photograph. If anyone has any tips for me I’d appreciate hearing them.
Lucious Daylily
This is a Bonanza daylily. Isn’t it bright and spectacular? This day lily usually blooms in July and sometimes blooms once more later in the summer season. I love it when this day lily blooms as it’s bright colors give a little punch to the garden.
