Don’t fall into the pond!

I took this photo last weekend when we went to The Brick Works here in Toronto. It’s a nature preserve filled with native plants and native fauna.

This pond is located right after you pass the old brickworks buildings. There’s no swimming allowed of course, but it’s good that they have a life preserver there (and in other areas) just in case someone falls in.

We brought our Lab puppy with us as it was a great way to give her a little exercise and of course all she wanted to do on that hot day was jump in the water which of course is not allowed at nature preserves! We took her to the beach the next day where she was able to get her fill of being in the water.

Just starting to bloom

I took this photo of pink hyacinths in my garden as they were just starting to bloom about three weeks ago. Unfortunately the flowers are long gone now.

The weather is finally starting to warm up here in Toronto and the rest of my flowers – ones that bloom most of the summer season, all have buds on them and they will begin to bloom shortly. I can’t wait. It’s a beautiful time of year.

Our Beautiful Cityscape

I took this photo at the end of August while on a dinner boat cruise on Lake Ontario.

Obviously the sun was setting and the scene was lit in the warm glow of the fading rays of the sun.

So beautiful. I love Toronto.

Today, I’ll be flying directly over the CN Tower and Rogers Center as my husband and I head to Las Vegas for a blogging convention! Don’t worry, I’ve sent this site up so that it will automatically publish new posts while we’re away. You won’t even know I’m gone. However, when I come back next week expect to see some photos of Las Vegas. ‘K?

Freddy Mercury Statue

We Will Rock You was playing at the Canon Theater over the summer and outside the theatre above the marquee there was a huge statue of Freddy Mercury.

This of course is a photo of that statue.

Freddy Mercury always was bigger than life.
