I’m growing a clematis beside one of my roses. In fact it’s near that lovely black hollyhock that I showed you a few days ago.
In September I noticed the vine had produced these luscious looking red berries. I never knew that clematis vines produced berries, but I’ve now noticed that a few of my other clematis vines seem to have berries on them as well. Who knew?
Yes, this is a Black Hollyhock.
Isn’t it’s dark glossy petals beautiful?
I grow this dark horse of a hollyhock between my lovely Compte de Chambord antique roses, Japanese Maple and the raspberries so it’s surrounded by shades of red and pink. It looks quite lovely among it’s companions.
Sharifa Asma is a lovely English rose. Such a delicate rose scent and pale pink blooms. Absolutely gorgeous in all ways!
A lovely hybrid tea rose – Scent_sation – that I grow in my Toronto garden It has lovely flowers when it blooms. Too bad it doesn’t bloom as often as I’d like it too!
