In early July parts of the city of Toronto shut down for street festivals.
This is Yonge street in downtown Toronto. It’s been claimed in the past to be the longest street in the world as it begins near Lake Ontario in Toronto, Ontario and ends in the province of Manitoba – more than 1178 miles or 1896 Km later.
On this July day I took advantage of the street being shut down and stood in the middle of the normally busy street to take my shot. This photo was taken with my Canon digital SLR EOS 30D.

This is where We Will Rock You is currently playing through September 30th in Toronto:
From QUEEN’s Brian May and Roger Taylor and Olivier Award-winning playwright Ben Elton! The world-wide smash-hit musical in its Canadian premiere!
I should have a photo coming up soon of the outside of the theater and the statue of Freddy Mercury too. The link above describes the long history of the Canon Theatre in it’s previous incarnations. It’s been around since 1920.
