Driving on the highway between Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario Don’t you love the fall colors. Those red shrubs are Sumac. There’s quite a few of them along the highways in Southern Ontario.
Watchful Blue Jay
I took this photo of a Blue Jay in my in-laws backyard. To date it’s the only Blue Jay picture I’ve managed to take! The one thing that I like about visiting the in-laws is that they tend to have lots of birds in their backyard – Blue Jays, Cardinals, Mourning doves and many others.
Driving by Rogers Centre
When we were driving on Toronto’s QEW the other day I took a photo of the Rogers Centre (formerly named The SkyDome). Unfortunately a red car was captured in the photo as well.
To give the photo more interest I added Motion blur, and a water color effect to the red car and roadway.

Seagull in waiting
A patient seagull at the beach. Toronto, Ontario
I wonder if this is a young seagull? It has speckles or freckles and I know that young pigeons tend to have more speckled spots, perhaps seagulls do as well? Either way, it’s a nice looking bird, even if they can be pests!
