Has the mobile phone replaced a social life?

A recent poll has show that British people are not addicted to drugs, women and other such things but their mobile phones. The poll states that a whopping 88% of us will not leave our homes without taking our mobile phone. This is simply saying that as a country without mobile phones we would come to a halt. Whats this also means is that a whopping 53,658,000 phones are carried around in bags and pockets in the streets of the UK every single day. It is a fact that Britain as a whole sends over 1 Billion texts a week which actually puts us up into the top 6 for texting in the world which is silly if you consider how small Britain is.

The poll went on to say that over anything else a mobile is the one thing we will always take with us even over a wallet or purse which is most certainly a huge eye opener. Funnily enough the midlands saw the best/worst result depending on how you look at things with a massive 98% of people saying they carried it with them every single day.

The main question to ask is why? It really is rather simple. The amount of things a mobile phone can now do is astronomical ranging from a simple text or call to checking the bank details online or even getting insurance quotes. The mobile phone is one of those technology’s that seems to be advancing more and more not every year but every few months with some phones even now containing voice recognition! As well as this you can now watch television as well as your favourite film all from the touch of a button on the phone as well as look at quotes from different car insurance firms!

Of course it does mean that muggings have risen simply because there are simply more phones out there to take as well as the question are we becoming too dependent on technology? It was certainly not like this thirty years ago and it seems that as the generations go on we are becoming lazier and lazier.

If technology is your thing then why not look for gadget insurance to make sure your favourite new gadget is protected against anything and everything!

The purpose of this article is to provide you with great ideas for your viral marketing campaign. Viral marketing, otherwise known as word of mouth marketing is the most inexpensive form yet potentially the most powerful form of marketing you can use, as most top seo services would agree.

Rebrand a Viral eBook

What you can do is to buy ebooks which includes re-branding rights that will allow you to pass on the book for free with your name as the author. This is a great way to get auto responder sign ups and a nice way for people to spread your book around the internet, thus increasing web traffic to your site.

Set up a Forum

A popular forum will get great search engine rankings and will attract many people in your niche to ask questions, comment and review products. Forums are a powerful viral marketing medium.

Use Facebook

Facebook has evolved into a huge social network with over 70 million. If you can tap into just a tiny percentage of these users then you have hit a goldmine. Some methods of marketing on Facebook include creating free applications, games and creating Groups with information about your website.

Create Templates

Creating free website design and blog templates with your website link in the footer is an easy way to virally market your site. Most people will leave the footer intact, instantly giving you backlinks and recognition.

Create a Video

Posting a video to YouTube can bring in millions of viewers and visitors. You can place some subtle marketing messages, some tutorials or any other content you believe your readers would be interested in. Just make sure you always include a link to your site in the video.

Write an eBook

Writing your own ebook (or paying someone to write it) is an instant way to gain credibility. Once you give it away for free, it creates a completely viral stream as more and more people pass the book on to friends. You can include some one time offers of upsells in the free ebook.

Write some Articles

You can try writing articles and give them to webmasters within your niche to publish on their sites. By the way, as long as you have a link back to your site, you’ll always receive credit for the articles.

Use Social Bookmarking Sites

Sites like Stumbleupon, Digg, Technorati, Twitter, Myspace and others give you the chance to create a brand, give away free ebooks and generally provide people with a way to talk about your site. This is powerful word of mouth marketing.

These eight viral marketing ideas can help your website take off in no time..

What to Avoid In Creating Your Google Adwords Campaign

Whatever your level of expertise is, whether you are a first-timer or an expert in online marketing — building a Google Adwords campaign definitely comes with it several challenges particularly if you are to work on a relatively new niche. Building an ad campaign that will highly perform in the market is very important, aside from the usual market-monitoring and the regular checking of the competitors’ activities. However, this technique is not free from any lapses or mistakes and can entail loss on your part.

Several ways and techniques to developing Adwords campaign that get results are suggested by Perry Marshall in his publication The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords, yet there are still some who commit mistakes when doing keyword research and in attempting to achieve maximum efficiency in their campaigns.

When you want to build an effective Google Adwords campaign one that generates a large amount of quality traffic and actually reaches your target market make sure you’re not making any of these five common mistakes:

1. Writing ad copy without keywords. Putting the keyword in the headline and nowhere in the ad is not a good practice and many Adwords campaign managers unknowingly do this. You want to make sure your ad copy is as relevant and keyword-rich as possible, so feel free to use at least 1-2 keywords or keyphrases within the ad for extra benefits.

2. Sending visitors to your homepage. You’ll generate much more attention and even higher conversion rates if the URL you use in your ad proceeds directly to a landing page with the incentive or promo, and not just your homepage.

3. Relying on the ‘broad match’ function of the Google Adwords Keyword Selector Tool. There are other options apart from the ‘broad match’ feature that allows you to have a basic idea on the keywords you can use in your niche or market. In the same way, you can use the tool’s ‘phrase match’ and ‘exact match’ functions for your ads and website copy to get quality and intended list of keywords.

4. Using poorly-performing keywords. Understanding exactly what your target market is searching for will take some time, and you cannot always assume that people will be searching for your products or services using the same keywords that you may use online. You will need to generate a list of relevant and similar keywords using the ‘synonyms’ feature on the Google Adwords Keyword Selector Tool to drill down search results and optimize your campaign.

5. Introducing your offer in the body copy only. In your copy’s headline, highlight the ‘ultimate benefit’ right away. Imagine that your reader/viewer is only reading the headlines; will they be compelled to click on the ad or read the remainder of the copy? Google Adwords ads usually consist of only three or four lines but most people would run down through these and would only proceed if they find something that catches their attention or interest, your chance lies in your headline as it plays a big role in capturing their full concentration.
