Wanna see a masterpiece up close

August 27, 2008 by Chris

I’m not sure if I told you all, but I’ve been on my holidays for 2 weeks and I’ve been having a blast! I’m really doing anything and I recommend it to everyone!

One of my side interests is about the history of religion. I like to understand what the hell happened a long, long, long time ago and why is everyone so pissed off at each other? I wasn’t around way back in 75 A.D., and I’m sure I would of just tried to get everybody to sit down and have a drink and mule over the things that are making everyone mad! It’s not that hard now is it?

Anyways, I’ve just about finished this book called “The Secret History of Christianity” by Malcolm Brocklehurst. It’s basically it’s about how the church has exploited the Myth of Christ, or so that is the idea that the author is trying to convey. It kinda ties things together and fills in the holes about the bible itself and gives over views of the ancient meaning behind things that are in the bible.

Anyways, while reading the book, I came across this website that is about the Last Supper” from you know who, Leonardo buddy. The author talks about some of the hidden meanings behind some aspect of the wall painting and by using this site you can zoom into the painting like you’ve never thought possible and see for yourself. Boy, he wasn’t kidding! So I’ve been checking it out for the past … dare I say hours!

The company is called haltadefinizione and they honestly out did themselves with their super interactive HD pics on their site. If your an art lover and love to look at the finer details of master pieces that you can only get by going there and looking really close … then you may never go and see this wondrous creations in person after your significant other literally pulls your head from monitor! That’s what just happened to me!

I realize this is not what my blog is about, but the pics on this site is just out of this world. Check it out THOROUGHLY!! It’s time not well wasted!

Keep on Jammin’

So who is and isn’t a musician here

April 17, 2008 by Chris

I was just wondering to myself today about how many of you, my good readership, are musicians and who isn’t. I’d like to know for a number of reasons. No, this is not to embarrass anyone or start some kind of mid evil Inquisition folks.

It’s just to:

(1) to tailor topics.
(2) and concentrate on certain categories

Just a simple answer would do here folks, nothing earth shattering.

You could state “Musician” or “Non-Musician”. What instruments you play and maybe what type of gear you have. If your a “non-Musician”, then tell us what genre of music gets you going! If you have any interesting or entertaining events might be good for a laugh, I know we all have 1 or 2 of them up our sleeves!

So state your case and get back to us … we’re waiting!

Keep on Jammin’

Toronto Roofing Industry

January 20, 2008 by Chris

While my brother was here from Chicago visiting this past summer, we all bumped into a mutual friend of ours from our elementary school days and his wife! It was great to caught up with what is going on with each other’s lives and share a pint or two over dinner!

We met up at the Balmy Beach Club, members only and sat out on the patio! It’s right on the beach front in the “Beach area” near our home.

Out in front of us on the patio there are these little break water islands around 75 feet from the shore.

My brother and I saw that our buddy seemed bummed out so we asked him what is was that we could do to brighten up his day. His response was something like “why don’t you two swim out to those break water islands and show us what your made of.” So we did!

IMG_0743

As it turned out it was just a little tried from working too hard with his company Toronto Roofing industries.

The guy was always a perfectionist and was always looking at ways to improve what ever he did. One thing that I can say about Tim is that he always did his homework! He also came over to the house that we were going to buy and he did a quick visual on the roof and was bang on the money. He told us about when the roof was done, the overall structure of it and some tiny little faults in it that was easy for us to fix! Good eye Tim, you should of been a jeweler!

Keep on Jammin’ Tim!

Great gift ideas at Designer Gifts

May 27, 2007 by Chris

Designergifts.com is a new online store that is owned by onlinestores.com. It think they’re trying to get a feel as to how people respond to the items that they are selling as well as the look and feel of the site.

Personally I’m very happy with the way the site has been designed. The menu system is easy to navigate, there’s a good selection of categories and sub categories in the menu that will take you to the sections that you’re interested in with ease.

Product wise I’m also pleased with the selection. I’ve visited some so called “gift stores” before that only have maybe 20 items to choose from. Designer Gifts is nothing like the other stores that I’ve visited and quickly left. No, it’s got a huge selection of items. They have a Cheap gifts section but there’s nothing cheap about the gifts displayed there. The items appear to be of high quality and I’m fairly sure that if I were to go into a department store and find a similar item it would be more than twice the price.

Along with quality gift items you’ll also find an area that sells deluxe greeting cards. There are cards for all occasions in that area and the cards are very nice.

giftbasketman.gif

Being a guy, I spent more time looking at the Gift ideas for men portion of the site. There’s some great gift ideas to be found in that section. You can buy personalized gifts like army knives that could be engraved, flasks, Bath and body gift ideas for men, and even gift baskets for men. I actually really like the look of the gift basket that I’ve shown above and wouldn’t mind one bit if someone wanted to get that for me as a gift. Hey, my birthdays coming up a little more than a month you know.

They do have some high tech gift items like the MP4 players and Digital picture frames, but I suppose they could stand to get a few more gadgety types of items in their lineup. In fact, I really do think that that would be my only suggestion.

The prices seem very reasonable, and as I said earlier the items look to be well made and of high quality so I’d be happy to either give or receive a gift from Designer Gifts. How about you? Why don’t you go visit the store and see what you think.

Get wholesale replica designer sunglasses for as little as ten bucks per dozen

April 11, 2007 by Chris

CTSWholesalers has recently launched a website where you can purchase Wholesale Sunglasses. Retailers of sunglasses might be interested in having a look at the many designs and styles available for purchase at CTSWholesalers.

Perhaps you’re an individual who’s looking to sell products, perhaps at flea markets, festivals or fairs? Or perhaps you already have an established business but you’re looking for give away promotional items, or additional items to sell in your retail or chain store or kiosk? Since pretty much everyone needs sunglasses, and often wants to look stylish purchasing wholesale designer replica sunglasses might be the right kind of item for you to look into.

CTSWholesalers offers a wide assortment of styles of replica designer sunglasses. You can find everything from cattier, sportswear and surfwear sunglass styles in metal and plastic design.

The look alike sunglasses have been inspired by famous designer brands but do not carry fake names that are similar to the original designer brand name. These are perfectly legal sunglasses similar to designer brands because they have been inspired by their popular styles.

Along with replica designer sunglasses you can also purchase wholesale sunglass accessories, sunglass clip-ons, as well as sunglass displays and repair kits. Whole sale sunglasses are prices from $10 and up per dozen pair. That sounds like a very good price to me.

The following is a press release by CTSWholesalers:

CTSWholesalers Launch Website for Wholesale Sunglass Buyers
CTS Wholesale Sunglasses today launched a web site dedicated to helping sunglass retailers who sell designer replica sunglasses.

CTS Wholesale Sunglasses today announced the launch of their new site at online sunglass store for selling at high traffic areas.

The retail sunglass industry has high operating margins and the dealers can make a nice profit buying the sunglasses in wholesale and then selling these at retail counters or stalls in malls and fairs. “Sunglasses that typically cost $15 a dozen can be easily sold for about $8 per pair, earning a very high profit per sale,” reported Kirk Bachelder while announcing the site.

Our sunglasses do not carry any brand names and are 100% safe for the dealers to sell
The site contains information about a large variety of replica sunglass designs that are inspired by leading brands. “We do not sell fake sunglasses and do not recommend that the retailers sell them”, cautioned Kirk. “Our sunglasses do not carry any brand names and are 100% safe for the dealers to sell,” he added.

The site will also carry special offers like a starter pack with an assorted collection of 36 pairs of latest and popular designs and a rack to hold 24 pairs, at a low $99. A newbie retailer can test the waters and explore the market with this low investment package before jumping in with larger stocks.

The helpful customer service and blazing fast shipping ensures that the dealers get their shipments before the time most of the other wholesalers have even dispatched the goods.

The retail sunglass industry is very popular with entrepreneurs because of the high margins. People prefer to buy cheap ‘compare to’ or replica sunglasses that look like the eyewear from the leading brands but cost much lesser. They do not feel the pinch if these sunglasses are lost or broken. They can also try different looks easily to match the season and the mood.

About CTS Wholesalers:
CTS Wholesalers offers tips and guidance to the sunglass retailers about the best ways to maximize the profits in marketing their wares at the malls, stores, exhibitions and flea markets. Visit the site at www.CTSwholesalers.com.

Save on international calls

March 28, 2007 by Chris

If you tend to make long distance calls from home or even from your mobile phone you might be interested in getting some cheap prepaid calling cards online from a company called Pingo.

Pingo has particularly good rates for cell phone users. Looking at the rates it’s actually much cheaper to use a Pingo calling card than to simply dial a long distance call using your cell phone provider. You can save up to 90% on your long distance mobile calls.

We don’t even like to get long distance calls on our cell phone because of the roaming charges. Our cell phone provider seems to charge us for everything and we can’t do much about it since we still have a contract with them. Now that I know how much cheaper it is to use a Pingo calling card for my cell phone long distance calls I think I’ll give it a try. Really, the rates are very good. See the rates in the links I’ve just listed to see what I mean.

Another bonus, when you sign up with Pingo you’ll get up to four hours worth of free international calls.

We don’t make a lot of long distance calls. I’d say that most of our long distance calls these days are to the United States. United States calling card rates are quite low. 1.8 cents per minute seems to be the going rate, and that’s quite a contrast to the 20 cents per minute that we pay when we call using our home telephone line through our telephone company.

Check it out for yourself. I’m sure you’ll save some money.

Learn about promoting your site at the Apogee Search Blog

March 15, 2007 by Chris

My wife is the person that set up this site and does all the maintenance on it – like adding new features and promoting the site when she finds new directories to list our sites in. However, I’m slowly learning a bit about promoting sites.

Not everyone has time to work on promoting and optimizing their own sites – especially if you are running a small to large business. That’s were Search engine marketing firms such as Apogee Search come in. Apogee has been in business since 2001 and in that time it has grown to become one of the largest search engine marketing firms in the world.

Apogee works hard to promote their clients websites using proven marketing methods – paid search, affiliate marketing, natural search, and pay-per-call. They even have a Search engine marketing service that set completely sets up and customizes Pay Per Click accounts for your business or website.

I personally enjoy reading the Apogee Search Blog from time to time. There’s always great information about marketing and optimizing resources.

Their most recent post “Why I’m not a fan of Google Sitemaps” was full of helpful information. We use Google sitemaps on our sites to help get new posts and pages indexed faster. I didn’t realize how important it was to have good internal linking on your site to help promote new pages though. Read the article for more information on how to use Google sitemaps to your best advantage.

Anyone working on promoting their own site should bookmark the Apogee Search blog. Every time I visit the blog I learn something new.

The lead Dogs specialize in Lead Generation

February 12, 2007 by Chris

Over the years a lot of the guys that I used to be in bands with have started their own music related companies, and I know that some of them have struggled to promote their businesses. There’s a lot of competition out there, especially in niche markets like the music trade.

I’ve just come across a site called “The Lead Dogs”. They specialize in
Lead Generation. They assist a companies business marketer by helping them manage inquiries, and in generating leads by phone, as well as nurturing interesting prospects into sales ready leads.

The lead dogs have been in business since 1994 and have built a solid reputation in the lead generation business.

Off the top of my head I can think of at least two of my friends who have started companies in the past few years that could use the help of a company such as The Lead Dogs. I know their businesses would do well if they managed to get more sales and business leads. I’m going to pass this link on to them right now.

The Lead Dogs is a lead development company that works with business-to-business marketers helping them manage inquiries, generate leads by phone and nurture interested prospects into sales-ready leads. Established in 1994, we have built a solid reputation by hiring the best talent, giving them to tools to succeed and being rabid about quality control.
