Bring on Spring!

Enough with snow and frigid weather already! Geesh!

Are you as tired of winter as I am? It’s -23 Celsius with the wind chill here in Toronto today. That’s -8 F if you don’t know the metric system. Cold huh?

It’s no wonder that I decided to post a photo of a lovely tulip that I grew in my garden last year.

I couldn’t help taking tons of photos of these tulips last year. The fiery orange just captured me and drew me in. Every time I visited my garden with camera in hand I was sure to photograph this tulip. Isn’t it lovely? Doesn’t it draw you in as well?

Playful puppy

Our puppy just loves her chew toys.

Puppies, I’ve found, aren’t all that easy to photograph because they are so very curious about everything. So of course as soon as you get close to a puppy with a camera they stop whatever cute thing they were doing that made you get the camera in the first place, they stop what they are doing and try to check out the camera.

Hopefully if I keep attempting to take photos regularly she’ll get used to it and ignore the camera … then I’ll capture some great photos!

I just love the way her ears flop to the side when she’s playing. She’s so cute, my little fur baby.

If you’d like to read more about my playful puppy check out the post I just wrote on my main blog – She’s not Chewsy at all, and if you want to find out what the first item she’s managed to damage was read the story Collateral damage on My World. She’s a handful, but luckily she’s a cutie too.

The Fountain

I’m back from Vegas!

Most of the photos I (or my husband who stole my camera) took in Vegas are of the fellow bloggers that we got together with. Since I don’t normally post photos of people on this site I’m not sure they’re all that appropriate. I do have some cool shots though so if you’re interested in seeing them please let me know.

The photos that aren’t of people were mostly taken at night and as a result aren’t as bright and clear as I’d like.

This photo is of a beautiful fountain outside the Venetian Hotel on the Strip in Vegas. It was just a gorgeous fountain.

The visitor

I was taking a photo of this rose, Breath of Life, when a wasp or hornet was heading towards it for a visit. I didn’t notice the wasp as I took the photo so it was a nice surprise to see that I’d captured it in the photograph.
