Exchange audio and video files from one handheld device to another

by Tricia

Earlier I spoke about the wide assortment of audio and video related software that can be downloaded from AVS4YOU. I’d just like to take a moment to tell you about one particular software product that I think you’ll find extremely useful.

I think I must be one of the few people in the world that has yet to buy an iPod. Isn’t that terrible? However, with iPods being all the rage these days I really do think that you will like using the AVS iDevice Explorer. You can do so many things with this software.

You can use the iDevice explorer to synchronize and exchange all of your favorite videos and songs between multiple ipods.

What if you want to exchange music and videos between other multimedia players and mobile devices?

You can.

This compact application will allow you to exchange files between popular products such as Sony PSP’s, Apple ipod, Samsung YP-T9, SanDisk Sansa e200 series players, Archos DVRAV500/AV700, 404/504/604, iRiver H10 player, Epson P-2000/P-4000, mobile phones for GSM and CDMA networks, and Portable Media Players (PMP).

You can exchange files between all of the above listed devices simply and easily without copying them to your computers hard drive.

This screen shot shows how simple it is to view the files on one device and select them to be copied and or exchanged with those on another device:

You can watch and manage the transfer of files from one device to another, as well as manage the file and folder structure on your portable device using the AVS iDevice software.

Another thing that I like about the AVS iDevice is that it supports cross-format conversion. What that means is that it will automatically convert a media file as it’s copying it from one device to another into the receiving handheld devices accepted or supported format.

You can use the standard USB connection, Bluetooth or IrDA to exchange files between mobile devices.

So how much does this great program cost?

Well, the AVS iDevice Explorer is part of the AVS4YOU.com package that I mentioned in an earlier post. For the low cost of $29 you can download and use all 27 software tools in the AVS4YOU.com package.

You’ll be able to download software, as well as get patches and upgrades during the year if you choose the $29 subscription package. If you purchase the $59 lifetime AVS4YOU package you’ll be able to download all of the AVS tools for an unlimited amount of time.

Read the AVS4YOU post that I wrote earlier and you can learn more about the 26 other AVS tools that will allow you to edit, convert and rip audio and video files, as well as create ringtones, burn DVD’s and a whole lot more.

I’m impressed with the line up of products that AVS has produced and I’m considering registering with AVS4YOU as I do quite a bit of audio and video editing for my websites.

Thinking of spyware protection? Get Spy Sweeper

by Tricia

537645401_ef78a55e40_o.jpg I’ve been looking for a good spyware detection program for a while now. I do have one on my computer that’s part of a bundle software package from my ISP, but I’ve never felt that it’s as efficient as it could be.

That’s why I’m now taking a look at a program called Spy Sweeper which is made by Webroot.

Have you heard of Spy Sweeper? Or used it? Apparently SPY SWEEPER IS THE MOST AWARD-WINNING ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE on the market today.

Spyware is such a pain! It’s worth taking note of award winning software like Spy Sweeper if you’ve ever undergone a spyware attack.

Spy Sweeper not only removed spyware from your computer but it acts to block spyware from ever getting on your computer with it’s smart shields.

Another reason why I think Spy Sweeper is such a valuable program to have on your computer is because it can be configured to suit a computer users needs.

For example you can use Spy Sweeper to do a quick, full or custom sweep of your computer. The quick sweep option would be great if you suspect that you might have spyware on your computer and want a quick diagnosis. You can also exclude specific files from the spyware sweep.

Spy Sweeper is easy to use. Just install it on your computer and it will immediately begin to protect your computer from spyware, as well as work to detect and remove spyware from your computer.

You’ll also get something called “Action Alerts”, which are notifications that will tell you when new threats are detected. You’ll also get continuous defense updates. By this I mean that Spy Sweeper will regularly update it’s database of new spyware threats, just like any decent anti-virus program does, and that will help the program in it’s effort to continue to protect your computer from spyware threats.

Spy Sweeper is Windows Vista compatible. I don’t have Windows Vista on any of my computers yet, but if I do upgrade in the near future it’s nice to know that the program that I’m using will be compatible with the latest Windows operating system.

File Recovery software – recover files you’ve deleted

by Tricia

file-recovery-logo.gif It doesn’t happen too often to me, but there’s been times when I’ve deleted a file and then cleaned out the desktop recycling bin on my computer desktop only to realize moments later that I’ve made an awful mistake and deleted the wrong file.

Has that happened to you? Don’t you just hate it when it does?

Or what about the time you were working away on the computer and a thunder storm came up suddenly and caused the power to go out. When the power finally came back on you turned on your computer and found that the file you were working on wasn’t saved so you had to start all over again.

Come on, I know it’s happened. Admit it.

Well, wouldn’t you love it if there was a program that you could use on your computer that would 1. help you recover files or data that was deleted, damaged or destroyed due to formatting, an accidental deletion or even a virus attack? 2. How about if the software were also able to help recover a damaged disk partition?

Well, if you’re interested in a program that can do all that and a whole lot more you should think about getting Active File Recovery. As I was saying it’s a software program that will help you recover lost or damaged date, restore deleted photos, and documents and other forms of data, recover damaged partitions and help you reboot your computer when it’s crashed and won’t boot up on it’s own. This program is so good that it will even recover files from flash memory, and data that’s been lost due formatting a memory card.

The last time I mentioned a program in this blog that could fix a computer problem people told me they were too scared to go into that part of their computer. I think that program was to help fix a computers registry. Now, why would I tell you about a program that could fix your computer or recover deleted files if it was hard to use? I’m trying to make your life easier by telling you about these programs. That’s the beauty of Active File Recovery. It’s easy to use. It’s safe to use in fact, and is an efficient data recovery tool that you should use if you’ve lost important files.

If your system were to crash and you couldn’t get it to start again this program will help you with that too. The Active file recovery Enterprise installation package comes with a CD/DVD ISO image that you can burn in order to get a bootable CD or DVD with a lightweight version of Windows Vista that will run in RAM.

So instead of taking your computer into a repair shop who may simply wipe your hard drive clean when they repair your computer you can attempt to boot it up with the bootable CD or DVD and then use the Active File Recovery program to restore your lost and or damaged files.

When you consider how much it would cost to take your computer to a repair shop, and risk losing your data anyway, isn’t it worth spending as little as $29.95 for a software program that might quickly and easily get your computer up and running again and restore your files? Personally I’d want to give it a try.
