Article writing instructions for using plr articles

by Tricia

Finding a constant supply of articles to put on your blog or in article directories can be very difficult after your early enthusiasm begins to wane. Many people try to find PLR articles packages or free niche articles and then rewrite them so that they appear different from the originals. If you happen to use PLR articles, remember that you cannot use them as they are because they will already exist on the internet in their current form. One skill to grasp early on in your writing career is that of quickly rewriting PLR articles (if you choose to use them, that is).

Using free Niche articles

If you are really efficient you can get paid to write articles on the web but you have to pretty much rewrite the PLR material. If I am looking to make money with my articles or use articles to promote my sites I usually write them myself as originals rather then rewriting PLR content. You can put rewritten PLR articles on your own websites as long as you have changed at least 50% of the content. If your aim is to get paid for writing articles I wouldn’t use PLR material. I would focus on completely new articles that you’ve written yourself.

How to use and rewrite plr articles

Article writing instructions are few and far between so here are a few tips on article writing when you want to rewrite PLR articles.

Make sure the article actually makes sense as it stands. If the initial PLR content is of poor quality you might as well throw it out as it will not help you.

Rewrite the first and last paragraphs completely. You should be sure to include relevant keywords that pertain to the article.  The remaining paragraphs of the article can either be rewritten or you can change just some of the sentences, phrases or words in each paragraph.

The last of my article writing instructions is to make sure your article leads the reader to take the action you need. If you are looking for a click on a link make sure it stays relevant!

BTW one place to get quality PLR content is PLRpro. Not only can you get great niche content articles there, but you can also get free inhouse software to make blogging and website creation even easier.

So how many of you got hit by Google?

by Tricia

The other day when I saw sites across the board having their page rank lowered by Google I started to not feel quite as bad about losing some of my page rank. Hey, after all, it seems just about everyone’s in the same boat!

There’s been a lot of speculation as to what caused Google to hit so many sites by lowering their page ranks. Everything from speculation as to whether it was caused by paid links or networking too many sites and so on.

I run one of the Do follow blogrolls. Well, I think the only do follow blogroll and I’ve had a few people decide to drop off the list as a result of the google hits. Personally I don’t think being do follow has anything to do with all of our PR loses. I mean, I’ve been a do follow blogger for almost two years and this is the first time I’ve ever taken a google hit!

Well, ok, the last update my html based website went from a PR5 to a PR4 but I believe that was mostly because I hadn’t updated the site with any new articles for a long while. Hey … it’s got about 1000 pages – how much more can I write about exotic pet keeping on the site anyway? Really!

But this time around? Every single site I own, even ones that I do not sell links of any kind on have been hit!

Oh well, like I said, it looks like we’re all in the same boat. It will be interesting to see what happens if Google ever gets around to doing a proper page rank update.

The trouble is, if they really are upset with those that sell links or who have committed some other kind of infraction against Google … well that’s just going to make people get better at hiding what they are doing. I can see people starting to use code or cipher to encrypt their links to mask what they are doing.

Don’t you see something like that happening too? I mean, no one’s just going to give in and stop making the money that they have been just because of Google are they?

Unhealthy emmissions from laser printers

by Tricia

Did you hear the recent news that printers, particularly laser printers, might be putting out small particulates into the air making office environments potentially unhealthy?

Here’s some quotes from an article in the Globe and Mail on this subject:

A new study of office laser printers by Australian researchers suggests selected toner and printer combination release emissions of small particles that are potentially harmful to respiratory health. …

To get a snapshot of printer behaviour in the office environment, the researchers measured the emissions of 62 Hewlett-Packard, Mita, Ricoh, Canon and Toshiba laser printers in an office building in Brisbane.

Specifically, the study counted the size and number of particles released by the printers and their levels of sub-micrometre particulate matter emissions – tiny, microscopic particles that are easily inhaled into the lungs.

Tim Takaro, a professor of health sciences at Simon Fraser University, said the study raises questions about the specific types of particles being emitted and what chemicals they contain.

“We don’t know exactly what [those particles] are, but they almost certainly contain some carbon black – most inks do – and that’s a respiratory irritant,” Prof. Takaro said in an interview yesterday.

“My concern would be mainly for people who have pre-existing respiratory conditions,” he said.

Particle counters were mounted above each of the printers in the study to assess their local emissions contribution.

The researchers concluded that the recorded levels of printers’ general emissions were high enough to significantly affect the level of local emissions in an office – and by extension, the air quality in their local vicinity.

The article went on to state that more than a quarter of the printers studied were high emitters. many of the printers tested that came up with high emissions were Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba models, but those were also the brands that had the majority of printers being tested.

A spokesperson for HP has stated that the company will be going over the study and that HP has engineered its printers to meet strict international health and safety standards.

The news story that I watched regarding this issue stated that it’s unclear how long the printers who tested high were putting out high emissions. It could just be that they have higher emissions when certain types of ink cartridges or toner cartridges are used or when these ink cartridges are new and full. Certainly more study is needed on this subject.

For now I’d say – don’t stand around the printer talking with your co-workers!
