SEO Your Blog Post With These 3 Simple Tips

by Tricia

For many blog owners, they fail to capitalize on search engine traffic because they have no clue as to how to go about optimizing their blogs. Failing to bring in targeted traffic is one reason many bloggers stop trying to make money with affiliate programs and find the next scheme to jump into.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. All it takes is just three simple steps. By following these easy steps, you can increase visitors and be the difference in a blog that creates the owner virtually no income or one that becomes a great source of additional income.

Follow this advice to optimize every blog post you write and start taking advantage of free targeted Internet users.

For starters, you should make absolutely sure that your article addresses are SEO friendly. If you use a free blog service like BlogSpot, this is done automatically and cannot be changed. If you’re a WordPress user, then set your permalinks so that the code produces SEO friendly url’s when you create a blog entry.

The way you do this in WordPress is to click on the Permalinks tab, and check the button along side the Custom field. Next you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percent symbol. This makes sure your blog will have SEO friendly post.

The most important tip on SEO optimizing your blog is to put the keyword in the Title of your blog. Let’s say you’re blogging about to make fast money, then use these keywords in the Title of your blog and your blog post. What you don’t want to do is put unrelated keywords in your Title. Using the keywords in the Title, then you’ll rank higher than if you name the blog something that does not tell the search engine what your blogs about.

The next requirement is to use your keywords in your Post’s title. If you’re trying to lure people to read your post about ebay to make money at home, then your keywords need to be in your post title. Forget about using non relevant titles like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and you won’t attract the right kind of traffic. If you’re using Adsense to monetize your blog, this is a very important tip to get targeted traffic for high paying keywords.

Implementing these 3 simple tips will go a long ways in letting the Search Engines know what subject your blog post is about. By making it easy easy for them to understand what your post is about, they’ll rank your post higher in their listings.

Now the only thing you’ll need is to build links to your blog and blog post. But alas, there isn’t enough room here to go ito the details of link building. Get used to optimizing your blog and blog post before tackling the chore of building links to your site.

Big Money Adsense Advice To Create Larger Pay Checks

by Tricia

At one time, Google Adsense was the darling of the Internet Marketing World. Newbies jumped on board the Adsense bandwagon believing they would make money fast and be holding up unheard of checks like Shoemoney. Then, after a few weeks getting just peanuts for their clicks, they then become discouraged and screamed to everyone who would read their rants that Adsense won’t make you money anymore.

The facts are, there are still many of us who are bringing down great checks with Adsense. Making money with Adsense requires a little more than just throwing up a blog, scraping content and adding your Adsense code. In a Nutshell, Adsense is still one of the easy ways to make cash online. Here’s some Pro techniques that will help increase your money from the people at Google.

First off, take a long hard look at the site where you have your ads. Is your site targeted to one niche? I find it really humorous sometimes when so called Internet Marketer say you can’t make any money with Adsense. I usually check out their site and see that it isn’t optimized for any keyword that advertisers would be bidding on. Or, what advertisers that are bidding are bidding a nickel per hit. The lack of a focused website is one of the biggest reasons Webmasters don’t make cash with the Google Adsense program.

For Adsense to show your visitors the highest paying ads, your site has to be very targeted to a niche. For instance, if you publish blog post on a website talking about everything from how green the grass is today to how sloppy your kids teacher dressed, Google is not going to give you the high paying keywords. What’s more, the ones you do get probably will not be targeted to your audience because the Adsense bot is having difficulty trying to determine what your website is about.

Okay listen closely. For example, let’s say you started a blog about chicken wings. You have no articles on your site other than those about Chicken Wings. You have articles about Hot Wings, Barbecue Chicken Wings, Wing Sauce Recipes, How to cook Chicken Wings, etc. Now if you’ve done your on-page SEO properly, the Adsense bot will know that you site is all about Chicken Wings. This site will get the highest paying ads concerning chicken wings. People coming to your site looking for information about chicken wings will click those ads.

Another thing that makes me laugh is when a noob says he’s getting a steady stream of traffic from Stumble Upon or Digg, but he isn’t getting any clicks? It’s no secret to most of us that Social Traffic doesnt convert. Traffic from Social Sites are just reading about crap while they’re at work. There’s an old saying in Internet Marketing that goes like this. Readers don’t click ads and Clickers don’t read!

Google traffic is what drives clicks to Adsense. If your website is niche focused and you have your site ranking well for its keywords, then when search engine traffic from Google arrives, they’ll be clicking ads. They’re searching for information and they found it on your site. Your site has a bunch of Adsense ads about what they’re looking for. They want information and they want it now. They will click those ads!

Another proven tactic is to have some vague or long drawn out articles on your site. If someone is looking for a recipe on Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters and you have an article by the same name, they’ll be reading that article. But if that article is really long and boring and says very little about Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters, they’ll get bored and start looking around your site. That’s when they’ll see an Adsense block with an ad for a sure fire, can’t miss Chicken Wing with Cheese Fritter recipe and click on it. Solving all the problems of your readers isn’t in your best interest, not if you want Adsense clicks!

That’s it for now. I’ll let you think about what I just said. Meanwhile, go look at your site and see where you can improve it. Get it focused on one niche. Forget about having a website covering too many subjects. That will only get you those five cent clicks, if you even get those!

Vital WordPress Blog Search Engine Optimization Elements to Concentrate On

by Tricia

A lot of advice can be found on the Internet with reference to exactly what one must do in order to get great rankings in the search engines for their WordPress posts.

Certain people agree, certain people differ, and some people are out-and-out perplexing.

In modern SEO terms, anyone that promotes one must submit a site to the SE’s so that they can index it is way behind the times. Such an has been outdated for a long time. The major search engines are exceptional with spotting new sites and index those sites without you needing to lift a finger. What’s pertinent to get outstanding rankings was highlighted not too long ago via a survey performed by SEOmoz of a number of search engine optimization experts.

In short, below are the four most important search engine optimization ranking factors, in accordance with their consensus opinion.

Using Relevant Keywords in the Title

The use of the right keywords in crafting the title tag of a WordPress post is very important. It does not only promote improved search engine rankings, it also promotes the click-through from the SE listings to your WordPress site. It is of little use to be high up in the search results and not receive a high number of clicks. The ultimate goal is to get as many visitors to your web pages as possible.

Those keywords that the searcher used are bolded in the search results. When the right keyphrase of the title is shown in bold, it stands a better opportunity of being noticed and receiving a mouse click. However, bolded keywords aren’t the only thing to consider when crafting the page title tag.

A cleverly written page title tag, that invites the web surfer to click, can gain a lot of extra clicks. It’s better to gain a hundred clicks from listing number 5 with an eye-catching title than 50 clicks from listing number 3 with a boring page title tag, wouldn’t you agree?

Anchor Text that’s Used for Inbound Links

The anchor text that is used in the link that points to your web site from another web site weighs heavily in the SE algorithms to figure out what your site is focused on. Additionally, what your site is all about determines largely what keywords it will rank for in the search results.

If you can influence in any way the anchor text that other sites use when they link to your site, then it’s an extremely productive investment of your time.

A greater number of web sites that link to your site using a certain set of keywords, or variations of that keyword, will cause the SE’s to more eagerly compute that your site is all about that particular keyword.

It’s far more advantageous when the content of the page on your web site contains that specific keyword and its latent semantic equivalents.

The Overall Link Popularity of Your Site

Search engines figure out the relative importance of a web site by using the number of hyperlinks that are pointed to the site. They include both quality of the hyperlinks and quantity of the links.

The more distinct web sites that link to your web site, the higher the search engines will calculate the perceived importance of your web site.

Link building is an ongoing effort.

One can never have enough backlinks pointing to your website. It’s true that it is possible to build backlinks too fast and that can raise some flags with the search engines.

However, if performed as an ongoing effort employing a long-term view, every backlink deserves the effort of getting it. They all add up to an improved perceived importance of your web site.

Link Popularity in the Internal Link Structure of the Site

It’s a fact that some of your pages will gain more external backlinks than others. Those that do not attract lots of external backlinks might be the true income generating pages that you would wish to rank high in the SE indexes.

Internal linking structure, as well as the anchor text used for the internal links, is the way to distribute PageRank and reputation inside the perimeters of your site.

The best path is to get the plugin for professional SEO of WordPress that provides you complete control of the internal linking on your site.

Some search engine optimization professionals say that an internal link to a page has the same value as an external link.

That does not mean the web site will rank by having only internal links. What it means is that you can get a certain page ranked by having internal links pointing to it even though it doesn’t have lots of external links, provided that the remainder of your site has accumulated adequate trust from external backlinks.

Finally

SEO may seem intimidating when one looks at it as a whole. However, when viewed as individual components, there are a select number of relatively easy areas one can concentrate on and make the largest benefits.
