How to Do your own On Page SEO

by Tricia

An important element of Search Engine Optimization is on page optimization. On page optimization is meant that when aspects on a webpage are setup ideally to be found easily by search engines and for desired keywords.

On page optimization is pretty easy and must be a target not only for the main web page but also for every single content page within the website after web designer finish the work.

Here we have listed some On Page SEO web design optimization techniques:

Add Keyword in Title: Include ONLY our main keywords. The least amount of words you can place in the title, the more weight Google will give to each of the keywords and the higher you will rank.

Place Keywords in header tags: Your header tag should be placed towards the top of the webpage. However, the title is that gives you an idea to the content on the page.

Place Keywords in header tags: Your h2 header is your sub heading of your webpage. Your second most important keywords should be listed here. This should be placed in the top half of your page.

Keyword Density: This is the number of times a keyword should appear on a page when compared to the number of words on a page. Keywords should be free flowing and be natural within the page.

Bold and Italicize Text: Search engines give more emphasis to words picked up that are in bold or italicized. This means it’s ok to put more emphasis on keywords throughout the site. It can help you out.

Include Proper Image Tags : image tags include descriptions of images to be picked up by search engines. You should include the keyword in this tag but do not overdue it.

Anchor Text: Anchor text is the visible text within a hyperlink that you can click on that takes you to somewhere else.

Place Keywords in URL: The words you place in your URL are picked up by search engines. When creating a URL it is a good idea to include keywords.

Link structure: If the navigation menu of a website is structured then the visitors will navigate the website with just few clicks. It is necessary for the consumer. This also helps the search spiders to get several links to follow.

However I have to point out that on page SEO is not as affective as off page SEO. You can read my another articles “How to Do Off Page SEO” if you are really serious about your website optimization.
