Site Maps For SEO

by Tricia

As a part of Search Engine Optimization or SEO Services, it is very important to create a site map. Besides making it easier for your visitors to get around your web site, you make it easier for robots to crawl your page so you can be listed in search engines.

My experience has shown that when a site map is not used, it is very likely your entire web site won’t be crawled. In the past, I have had navigation on all my pages on my web site, but when I checked Google or yahoo, not all my pages have shown up. Using a site map seems to solve this problem. Your site map does not need to be fancy. All you have to do is to create a simple page and list every link in your web site. Also, make sure that the site map is made by text links. Don’t make links with images.

Google now has a program called “Google Sitemaps” that helps your web site with Google search engine indexing. In brief, this system can let you to keep Google informed of when you make changes to your web pages.Google suggest that it i better for you to have updated search results when it crawls your site, it is better if you can offer some information about your pages such as how often a page changes and when a page was last modified. It is very easy to setup. The simple way is to create an XML document and then upload it to your server. It is easy for Google to know the document’s location in your Google sitemap account. As it is easy to understand the process of Google’s sitemap feature and create the XML document, webmaster and web developer should easily be able to implement it.

SEO Your Blog Post With These 3 Simple Tips

by Tricia

For many blog owners, they fail to capitalize on search engine traffic because they have no clue as to how to go about optimizing their blogs. Failing to bring in targeted traffic is one reason many bloggers stop trying to make money with affiliate programs and find the next scheme to jump into.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. All it takes is just three simple steps. By following these easy steps, you can increase visitors and be the difference in a blog that creates the owner virtually no income or one that becomes a great source of additional income.

Follow this advice to optimize every blog post you write and start taking advantage of free targeted Internet users.

For starters, you should make absolutely sure that your article addresses are SEO friendly. If you use a free blog service like BlogSpot, this is done automatically and cannot be changed. If you’re a WordPress user, then set your permalinks so that the code produces SEO friendly url’s when you create a blog entry.

The way you do this in WordPress is to click on the Permalinks tab, and check the button along side the Custom field. Next you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percent symbol. This makes sure your blog will have SEO friendly post.

The most important tip on SEO optimizing your blog is to put the keyword in the Title of your blog. Let’s say you’re blogging about to make fast money, then use these keywords in the Title of your blog and your blog post. What you don’t want to do is put unrelated keywords in your Title. Using the keywords in the Title, then you’ll rank higher than if you name the blog something that does not tell the search engine what your blogs about.

The next requirement is to use your keywords in your Post’s title. If you’re trying to lure people to read your post about ebay to make money at home, then your keywords need to be in your post title. Forget about using non relevant titles like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and you won’t attract the right kind of traffic. If you’re using Adsense to monetize your blog, this is a very important tip to get targeted traffic for high paying keywords.

Implementing these 3 simple tips will go a long ways in letting the Search Engines know what subject your blog post is about. By making it easy easy for them to understand what your post is about, they’ll rank your post higher in their listings.

Now the only thing you’ll need is to build links to your blog and blog post. But alas, there isn’t enough room here to go ito the details of link building. Get used to optimizing your blog and blog post before tackling the chore of building links to your site.

How Do I Escape From the Google Sandbox?

by Tricia

The most frequently asked question about search engine optimization is What is the Google Sandbox Theory and how do I escape it? Let’s take a quick glance at the details of Google Sandbox Theory and its related issues.

What is the Google Sandbox Theory?

Web designer found that the new websites optimized and having number of inbound links were not ranking well for the selected keywords. It was observed that after being listed in the SERPS for two weeks, pages were either dropped from index or ranked low for the desired keywords.

Websites that were once ranked high in the SERPS positions that went down tremendously in rank allowing lower ranking sites to have priority position on the keywords provided evidence to Search Engine Marketing experts, which helped them to understand what this Sandbox effect was.

Possible explanations for the Google Sandbox effect

The biggest factor to the Google Sandbox effect is Time Delay. This has to do with the age of the site and the effects that were made after the certain period. This is also believed to be an unjust penalty placed on websites.

The job of a search engine is to provide the most useful information to its users. Search engine optimization deals with puzzling algorithms that relate the appropriate content for different search terms.

How to find out if your website is ‘Sandboxed’?

When your website does not appear in any of the SERPS for the desired keywords or if the results are not satisfactory though there are inbound links and proper on-page optimization then the website is definitely Sandboxed.

Search engines will provide most relevant information to their users. SEO develops complex algorithms to infer relevancy of content for various search terms.

The Sandbox restricts the new websites; the effect reduces on the basis of aging of the websites but on the link aging. According to the ‘Allegra’ update websites that were continually being optimized when they were in the Sandbox began to rank quite high for desired keywords when the Sandbox effect ended.

SEO strategies to minimize your website’s ‘Sandboxed’ time:

  • Start promoting the website the moment it is created.
  • Follow low-intensity and long-term link building plan.
  • Avoid black-hat techniques.
