Big Money Adsense Advice To Create Larger Pay Checks

by Tricia

At one time, Google Adsense was the darling of the Internet Marketing World. Newbies jumped on board the Adsense bandwagon believing they would make money fast and be holding up unheard of checks like Shoemoney. Then, after a few weeks getting just peanuts for their clicks, they then become discouraged and screamed to everyone who would read their rants that Adsense won’t make you money anymore.

The facts are, there are still many of us who are bringing down great checks with Adsense. Making money with Adsense requires a little more than just throwing up a blog, scraping content and adding your Adsense code. In a Nutshell, Adsense is still one of the easy ways to make cash online. Here’s some Pro techniques that will help increase your money from the people at Google.

First off, take a long hard look at the site where you have your ads. Is your site targeted to one niche? I find it really humorous sometimes when so called Internet Marketer say you can’t make any money with Adsense. I usually check out their site and see that it isn’t optimized for any keyword that advertisers would be bidding on. Or, what advertisers that are bidding are bidding a nickel per hit. The lack of a focused website is one of the biggest reasons Webmasters don’t make cash with the Google Adsense program.

For Adsense to show your visitors the highest paying ads, your site has to be very targeted to a niche. For instance, if you publish blog post on a website talking about everything from how green the grass is today to how sloppy your kids teacher dressed, Google is not going to give you the high paying keywords. What’s more, the ones you do get probably will not be targeted to your audience because the Adsense bot is having difficulty trying to determine what your website is about.

Okay listen closely. For example, let’s say you started a blog about chicken wings. You have no articles on your site other than those about Chicken Wings. You have articles about Hot Wings, Barbecue Chicken Wings, Wing Sauce Recipes, How to cook Chicken Wings, etc. Now if you’ve done your on-page SEO properly, the Adsense bot will know that you site is all about Chicken Wings. This site will get the highest paying ads concerning chicken wings. People coming to your site looking for information about chicken wings will click those ads.

Another thing that makes me laugh is when a noob says he’s getting a steady stream of traffic from Stumble Upon or Digg, but he isn’t getting any clicks? It’s no secret to most of us that Social Traffic doesnt convert. Traffic from Social Sites are just reading about crap while they’re at work. There’s an old saying in Internet Marketing that goes like this. Readers don’t click ads and Clickers don’t read!

Google traffic is what drives clicks to Adsense. If your website is niche focused and you have your site ranking well for its keywords, then when search engine traffic from Google arrives, they’ll be clicking ads. They’re searching for information and they found it on your site. Your site has a bunch of Adsense ads about what they’re looking for. They want information and they want it now. They will click those ads!

Another proven tactic is to have some vague or long drawn out articles on your site. If someone is looking for a recipe on Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters and you have an article by the same name, they’ll be reading that article. But if that article is really long and boring and says very little about Chicken Wings with Cheese Fritters, they’ll get bored and start looking around your site. That’s when they’ll see an Adsense block with an ad for a sure fire, can’t miss Chicken Wing with Cheese Fritter recipe and click on it. Solving all the problems of your readers isn’t in your best interest, not if you want Adsense clicks!

That’s it for now. I’ll let you think about what I just said. Meanwhile, go look at your site and see where you can improve it. Get it focused on one niche. Forget about having a website covering too many subjects. That will only get you those five cent clicks, if you even get those!

Get Peopleized and promote your site

by Tricia

I’ve just been Peopleized!

I’ll be you’re wondering what that means?

Well, to put it simply I’ve just signed up with a site called Peopleized-people interview people. I’m hoping that I’ll meet other website owners on the site and participate in some interviews which will help me promote my sites and get links on other peoples blogs and websites as a result of those interviews.

Most of the bloggers that I know are quite active on the web and often work on promoting their sites at least once a week if not daily in one way or another. Peopleized simply allows you to meet others who are also interested in exchanging links and helping one another promote their websites.

I signed up, quickly created my profile and added nine or ten of my websites in as little as 15 minutes. Now I can sit back and wait for someone to come along and request an interview or I can start looking through the website categories, browse People (site members) or do a search for a keyword to find members or websites who perhaps have similar interests to my own.

Once I find a person that I’d like to interview I’d simply need to click the interview button in their profile and begin creating an interview. While I’m looking at a persons profile I can also look at the interviews that they’ve completed and the ones that they’ve asked others to do.

Another great thing about Peopleized is that you can use the interviews that you’ve done as well as any interview on Peopleized to create new content on your website. In this way you’ll be promoting the person who was interviewed and hopefully giving your readers something interesting to read as well as a new site to visit.

What are you waiting for? Get Peopleized! If you join the site come say hello. My user name is dragonden.

Too much work?

by Tricia

Would it be terrible of me to say I have too much work?

I started out with my first website in 1995 and believe it or not that website is still in existence. In fact it’s my most popular website.

Lately though I’ve gotten into writing blogs and as a result of having so many different blogs I’ve also managed to find ways to monetize them and earn a decent income off of them. I’m actually earning enough now that I can live off of it.

The trouble is most of my income comes in because I actually manually do the work. That is I write posts or write on blogs for compensation. Is it terrible to complain that I have too many offers?

Every day I have at least one email from someone asking me to try out their product or write about their site. It’s getting crazy! I’ve also had two offers to be a guest speaker at blogging or webmaster related seminars!

I think I might have to step back a bit and take a good look at what I’m doing and where I want it to take me so that I can plan my work schedule better and perhaps find a happy medium while I still continue to earn enough to live off of.
