I’m not a Windows Vista user, I’m still using Windows XP on my computers, but from what I hear from Vista users it’s pretty frustrating to use at times … perhaps this new service pack would come in handy?

Pen scanners have been around for a while, but there’s a new one on the market that’s a true technological advancement.
Planon’s latest pen scanner is called the DocuPen. It’s both a scanner and high tech pen at once. It’s battery operated for full portability and it can store up to 100 pages in it’s memory scanning each in four to eight seconds.
Many of the previous pen scanners were slower and did not have the ability to scan graphics. The DocuPen does it all.
The current price of this high tech gadget is $270. The DocuPen has a USB interface, scans at a max of 200 x 200, weighs 2 oz, has an 8 MB flash memory, and works with Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.
All you need to do is place the DocuPen on a piece of paper parallel to the text and move the pen downward over the page. When you want to see what you’ve scanned just connect the pen scanner to a computer using the USB interface.
I could see sales people and those who are frequently out of the office at meetings finding this new DocuPen quite handy.

Wow! I totally wish I’d known about EasyCGI’s summer blowout special on web hosting when I was having all my hosting trouble a week or so ago!
EasyCGI is offering free web hosting for one whole year!
The promotion is going on now and it’s for their Windows web hosting services. I checked to see if it was only on one of their hosting packages and to my surprise it’s on all three Windows hosting packages that they offer.
Just click on the link above to be eligible for EasyCGI’s free one year web hosting offer.
This does not appear to be a gimmick. I didn’t sign up yet, but I checked the packages out and went so far as to start the order process and there doesn’t seem to be any catches.
I do think that I will sign up even though I just found a new web host. I have so many sites that I think it might be a good idea to maintain a separate account at another web host or even divide up my sites between two hosts.
EasyCGI apparently has 99.9% uptime. They also offer 24/7 phone support. That’s something my last host was lacking and let me tell you when your sites go down over the weekend and you can only reach support via support tickets and email you’ll wish you had hosting at a site such as EasyCGI who offers support 24 hours a day!
If you run forums, a blog or use other scripts on your site you’ll be pleased to know that EasyCGI offers one step script installation. You’ll also have access to web traffic reports and set up tutorials as well as a knowledge base where you can learn more about hosting your own site, purchasing a domain and other things that have to do with maintaining a website.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a web hosting company offer a full year of hosting free of charge. Certainly we probably won’t see something like this again! Visit EasyCGI and see if their hosting packages suit your needs.
If you want to help me get the word out about this free one year of web hosting at EasyCGI click on the digg or del.ic.ious buttons below this post. If you aren’t a member of digg yet join digg and tell the world about this offer.
